Diputación de Palencia has participated in the edition and financing in 2015 of this easy-to- read Roman Villa La Olmeda guide in Spanish, aimed at people with reading difficulties, under the title "Villa Romana La Olmeda, Un Tesoro Romano", promoted by the Association of Easy Reading of Castilla y León whose purpose is to prepare this type of material, disseminate it to professionals and promote knowledge for people with reading difficulties. The guide aims to reach all audiences who have permanent reading difficulties, such as people with intellectual disabilities, or a temporary difficulty, such as schoolchildren who are beginning to read.
The book contains the international guidelines of Inclusion Europe and the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) for easy reading materials and has been validated by the Easy Reading Association. The text has been carried out by Gracia Cuesta, teacher, speech therapist and with many years of work activity with people with intellectual disabilities and people in social exclusion. The illustrations are the work of Almudena Cuesta, a young collaborator of the Association and a design professional who, after graduating, carries out and participates in different artistic projects.
